Corex boards 10 mm

What is the structure of corrugated polypropylene?

Corex (corrugated) boards made from polypropylene (PP) are made via extrusion (pressing). Corrugated polypropylene has a hollow structure resembling corrugated cardboard, which makes it comparatively lightweight. An additional feature which makes it a popular with our customers is that it can be cut down for installing in atypical locations. The board structure resembles corrugated cardboard which reduces its weight yet remains durable and resistant to atmospheric conditions.

Are Corex boards suitable for outdoor displays?

Corrugated polypropylene boards may be used for outdoor exhibitions. The material is very resistance to rain, sun and does not delaminate. Corex corrugated polypropylene boards have high rigidity. Compared to Foamed PVC boards, they are much lighter. Relatively low weight of Corex boards is a big advantage and an asset during installation works, it also serves to lower transport costs.

What are the available colors of Corex boards?

There are many colors available on the market, however we use white polypropylene in our printing house to print it over with your own, customized image.

What are the most common applications for Corex boards?

Images printed on corrugated polypropylene boards are commonly used in indoor and outdoor advertising. Owing to its physical and chemical properties, Corex is popular in industrial applications, forestry, agriculture, design, advertising and construction.

Polypropylene boards are most often used:
a/ in advertising, to make: banners, information boards, advertisements, folders and binders.
b/ in construction, for damp-proofing walls and floors, as door panels, construction panels, building thermal insulation.
Corex boards also offer good price to quality ratio, which makes them a popular choice in printing and advertising industries.

Corrugated polypropylene boards are suitable for eyeletting if their thickness is less than 3 mm. if you wish to learn more about this, send us an inquiry via the contact form. Corex boards can also be cut from one side to achieve a 3D effect - this form of advertising is very often used to post information in windows of apartments for sale or rent.

What are the best methods of processing Corex boards?

Recommended processing for corrugated polypropylene boards includes: cutting, overprint, foiling. The boards themselves do not lend themselves to easy processing. After cutting down to required size, additional edge polishing is needed.

What are the main advantages of Corex boards?

Corrugated polypropylene boards are very popular in the advertising industry, as they are lightweight and comparatively cheap and large. Moreover, these boards are very rigid and can be machined, they are also highly resistant to atmospheric conditions, moisture, various chemicals, abrasion and UV radiation. They also feature good insulation properties and low weight. Corrugated PP board has three main advantages - it is comparatively cheap, rigid and light. The above mentioned features of Corex boards make in an excellent alternative to cardboard.
